WE ARE CURRENTLY COLLECTING TRACKS FOR A NEW COMPILATION ALBUM
[Each album in this series will feature a different theme, allowing us to explore new worlds in the shifting currents and ever expanding horizons of the night owl connected universe.]
Our first expedition:
Cycles 001: Mirage
//..In a mist of forgotten memories, the path of the owl drifts off course.
a hallucination begins to take shape.
Far beyond the floating forests,
a pure, eternal darkness fills space in every direction.
The owl floats suspended in the empty endless,
as a distant rumble pulsates through the fabric of consciousness.
an impossible Sound emits from within;
Without warning,
a burst of light flashes with the raw power of a collapsing sun,
creating a shockwave felt from the pyramids to the infinite ocean of samsara.
a mirage forms; visions of past, present and future.
It feels… familiar.
As the veil of reality disintegrates,
all beings suddenly return to One.
Thus, the Cycle begins..>
//..but… what was that Sound?
The pigments have fractured and scattered across the sands of time.
We must collect and preserve these rare, timeless artifacts.
We must restore the Sound, so the Cycle may continue once more..>
[The flavor we are seeking for this compilation is a dark, futuristic
bass-centric twist on the mysterious, powerful, psychedelic, healing or haunting sounds of ancient scales such as Phrygian Dominant, Double Harmonic,
Harmonic Minor, etc — or Maqams — within the spectrums of experimental
Drum & Bass, Techno, Mid-Tempo, IDM, Breakbeat, & Garage —
but open to all genres within the frame of the correct style]
